LUCAP Executive Board Recruiting 2013
Executive Board Applications are due Friday, April 5th by 5:00PM! Direct all questions to LUCAP Chair Mackenzie McMillan (mamcmill@loyno.edu).
The LUCAP Executive Board acts as a resource for Project Leaders, volunteers, and other students interested in social justice. The E-Board meets weekly with the LUCAP advisor, and attends all project leader and general meetings. Executive Board positions represent a serious commitment of time and energy. On average, E-Board members spend 10 hours per week on LUCAP business.
LUCAP is currently taking applications for Executive Board positions. Please see the descriptions below to find out which position is best for you. You may apply to only one position.

LUCAP Chairperson
- Oversee the rest of the E-Board. Delegate tasks as necessary
- Develop overall goals and strategy for the semester with the E-Board
- Plan all E-Board and project leader meetings
- Serve as a liaison to University Ministry
- Meet on a weekly basis with the LUCAP Advisor and Associate Chair
- Oversee standing projects by maintaining contact with, organizing, and providing support to project leaders
- Oversee project application process; communicate with prospective project leaders
Associate Chairperson
- Assist the chair in daily tasks related to the functioning of LUCAP
- Attend weekly meetings with LUCAP Advisor and LUCAP Chair
Internal Affairs Chair
- Moderate LUCAP elections
- Manage the listserv
- Organize and maintain the LUCAP Calendar
- Organize archives and create new records as needed
- Monitor the LUCAP budget
External Affairs Chair
- Act as a liaison to students and organizations on and off campus
- Represent LUCAP through committee work
- Promote LUCAP and its goals to the student body
- Serve as a contact to other organizations on campus for co-programming opportunities
Special Affairs Chair
- Facilitate and promote student social justice awareness events and activities
- Oversee official and developing campaigns and committees
- Oversee initiatives and campaigns of LUCAP
- Coordiante planning of all alternative break experiences
Social Affairs Chair
- Help connect the greater LUCAP volunteer base and community with each other and with LUCAP leadership
- Work with Chair and Associate Chair to plan LUCAP Open Meetings (including space reservations, refreshments, etc.)
- Facilitate and organize the annual LUCAP retreat
- Facilitate and organize the annual LUCAP banquet or other volunteer appreciation programs
Public Relations Chair
- Update templates for weekly meeting flyers, project lists and ‘This Week in LUCAP’
- Create and post flyers to advertise all LUCAP programming, especially weekly Open meetings
- Coordinate all social media outlets for LUCAP
- Update and maintain the LUCAP logo and branding
- Work with project leaders to create promotional materials for projects
