Ignatius Chapel Community

During the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person attendance at the Sunday 10:30am Mass in Ignatius Chapel is limited to pre-registered individuals.  To register your attendance, please fill out the form here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040b4eaca82ca2fa7-iccmass.

The Mass is also live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ9rxLItr-Z_j5GtaDzXCjw

Following are the regulations in place for in-person attendance:
Receiving Communion
  • Wear your mask when receiving Communion.
  • Receive the Eucharist in your hand, not on the tongue.
  • Wait to consume until you are at least six feet away from the presider and other people.
  • Maintain a 6-foot distance from other people when in line.  Green tape markings on the floor indicate this distance.
  • Please arrive on time.  Arriving late means someone else has to wait at the door for you.
  • Enter Bobet Hall from the Peace Quad.
  • Get your temperature taken before you enter.
  • If you sign up but find that you are not able to attend, please email brennanhaug5@gmail.com or text (504-250-2158) by 10:00 a.m. in case we have a waiting list.
Wear a mask
  • Every individual must bring and wear a mask at all times when on Loyola's campus (including during Mass).
Seating & Contact
  • All parties must sit 6 feet away from each other. There should be four empty wooden chairs or three empty cushioned chairs between each party.
  • Groups sitting together must be members of the same household.
  • Physical contact with others not in your family group is to be avoided, including during the Sign of Peace and the Our Father.
  • Hymnals should be left in your seat when you exit.
  • No gathering for socializing before or after Mass.
  • No choir is permitted. Music will be led by a pianist and a cantor.
  • Seniors and people with serious medical conditions should continue to stay home.
  • Offertory baskets will not be passed but instead are available at the entrance and online at https://spark.loyno.edu/chapel if you would like to contribute.
