Pope Fancis

Fri, 03/15/2013

It was a day of celebration in the entire Roman Catholic world when the white smoke rose from the chimney at the Sistine Chapel, letting all know that a new Holy father had been elected by the College of Cardinals.  It was an even more joyful celebration in the Jesuit communities, schools and institions when it was know that Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J.  a Jesuit archbishop from Argentina was named the new Pope.

Loyoal University, the Jesuit Center, the Jesuit Community and the Office of Mission & MInistry all join the faithful in celebrating this selection.
