Loyola Joins ACJU Schools to Honor Journalist Killed by ISIS

     On Sunday, Oct. 19, Loyola will offer its 10:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Masses in the Ignatius Chapel to James Foley, the U.S. journalist slain by Islamic State and Irag and al-Sham militants. Foley was a graduate of Marquette University.

     Rev. Michael J. Sheeran, S.J., president of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (ACJU), inivted all 28 member institutions to offer a Mass or inter-faith prayer service for peace in memory of Foley and all others who have died this year at the hands of ISIS.   AJCU honors the memory of a Jesuit alumnus who was a true man for others and an American hero.

     Member institutions include Boston College, Georgetown University, Loyola Chicago and Foley's alma mater, Marquette University.  Read More >>
