Loyola to Commemorate Martyrs Week 25 Years Later

The Loyola community, led by the Loyola University Community Action Program (LUCAP), will commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her teen daughter in El Salvador. This year’s Martyrs Week marks the 25th anniversary since the brutal massacre that took place on November 16, 1989. The week of activities begin Sunday, Nov. 16 with the 25th Annual Martyrs Mass at 9 p.m. in the Peace Quad and ends with a trip to the School of the Americas in Georgia on Friday, Nov. 19.
