Jamaica Iggy Vols Head to Jamaica for Ten Days!

Blessings on the IgVol Jamaica Experience, as 14 Ignacio Volunteers take off for Kingston and begin an amazing immersion into the lives of the people they will serve and be served by. 

The 12 volunteers are led by M&M Immersion Corrdinator Heather Malveaux and also serving as fellow staff member is Student Affairs staff Courtney Williams.  Team Leaders for the trip are: Marion Boreros, Emily Mastin, and Victoria Williams.  serving as Ignacio Volunteers for the first time are: Shayne Charles, India Gregory, Mathew Holloway, Chrishell Lennox, Michael Moen, Veronica Morse, Kenneth Singleton, Patricia Suarez, Sharita Williams.

The group of fourteen will be serving at:  Riverton City Early Education Centre, a school located at a shanty town settlement built on the old Kingston garbage dump; The Home for the Destitute and Dying, a home for the elderly run by Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity; Missionaries of the Poor's Bethlehem Home, an orphanage for physically and mentally challenged children and young adults.
