Welcome to the Jesuit Community
Inspired to love and serve God
For nearly 500 years, Jesuit priests and brothers have been inspired by the vision of St. Ignatius Loyola to love and serve God as companions of Jesus. They seek to find God in all things, to listen with a discerning heart, and to do all things for the greater glory of God. This is the tradition of the Jesuit Community of Loyola University New Orleans.
There are twenty-four men -- priests and brothers -- affiliated with the Loyola Jesuit Community in 2009-2010. They serve as teachers, administrators, staff and support people. Residing in two houses across from the University, in several apartments nearby, and in teh residence halls, the Loyola Jesuit Community strives to be an integral part of the life, faith and vitality of the Loyola University New Orleans community.
