Ignatian Awards for Outstanding Seniors and Graduate Student 


 A Call for Nominations

All members of the Loyola University New Orleans community are invited to submit nominations for the 2018 Ignatian Awards for Outstanding Seniors and Graduate Student.   These awards are open only to graduating seniors by May 2018 and those completing their graduate degrees and recognized at the 2018 Commencement ceremonies.  These are the highest student awards presented by the University and will be awarded at the Baccalaureate Mass at 4pm on Friday, May 11, 2018.  


This award is given to two undergraduate senior applicants and one graduate student who has distinguished her/himself by:

  • exemplary involvement in the life of Loyola University and the New Orleans community 
  • living a strong faith commitment;
  • maintaining a distinguished grade point average;
  • has or is providing service for and with others;
  • is or has been contributing to the local and/or global community.  

Nominations may be made by any member of the Loyola University New Orleans community.  Students may self-nominate as well.

Nomination forms must be fully completed and submitted electronically to Jesuit@loyno.edu or by hard copy to the Office of University Ministry (Bobet Hall/ Room 104). N ominees will be notified and invited to submit an application. 

Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 4:30pm.

Please note: The College of Law recognizes its top graduate with the Spirit of Ignatius Award.  As such, law graduates are not eligible for the Ignatian Award for Outstanding Graduate Student.
