Welcome to the 2017 FaithActs Summer Youth Theology Institute

Dear Parent,

We are delighted to welcome your child to the 2017 FaithActs Summer Youth Theology Institute! The FaithActs Institute requires that in order for a student to gain benefits of the program, including completion of service hours, that s/he complete the entire Institute from the beginning of orientation at noon on Sunday June 11 and through the closing dinner and student presentations on Friday evening June 16, 2017. In order to successfully complete the program, your child must abide by the following policies that you both signed and returned to us, which can be read here:

FaithActs Youth Theology Institute Policies (2 pages).

For more information, including a list of what to pack, please click here.

We invite students to begin the work of the Institute by going to the Healing Earth website: http://healingearth.ijep.net/introduction. The Healing Earth introduction provides a wonderful overview of the way we are approaching the FaithActs Youth Theology Institute.

FaithActs will be utilizing Pope Francis’s encyclical letter on the environment, Laudato Si: Care for Our Common Home. We invite students to review this introductory video to the Pope’s message: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3Lz7dmn1eM

The final closing dinner will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Danna Student Center Audubon Room (on the second floor). We welcome parents and one representative from each student’s high school to attend the closing dinner. RSVP to mqzehyou@loyno.edu.

Please provide your travel flight details to us so that we can arrange pick up at New Orleans International Airport (MSY).

See you at the Institute! In the solidarity of Christ!
